About Carol Anne Slater
Based on the Ashdown Forest, oil painter Carol Anne has painted the changing landscape of Sussex for over 15 years. Her self taught practice is the result of a non stop journey of mark making, inventive use of colour and abstracting what is not important in the picture. Using bold contract of colour, she aims to create a picture that talks to the viewer. Her paintings carry stories with them and her key aim is to create an emotional response to the viewer and so take them on their own journey of self discovery She has produced a large body of work and feels honoured to be in the position of having. her paintings hang on the walls of individuals both nationally and world wide.
