About Isabel Mullery

I work as an Artist in Brighton and take inspiration from the sea and architecture we have here. I create cards and framed prints, in a range of sizes, many (but not all) with Brighton imagery to remind you of our beautiful city. I also create ceramics, using clay to create vessels and also lamps. I enjoy light, shadow and the space in between. I love exploring this in my work. I work in a wide range of media. It's my passion to reuse materials so my practical work often involves recycling. I love exploring photography working in both film and digital formats. I make and explore papers and fabrics, utilising my own felt and surfaces to create my mixed media pieces. Frequently these are painted on and sewn by machine, using sewing as a drawing medium.I take my inspirations from the things I see and experience. I love to travel but equally ideas can come from home, something I find, come across or look at in a different way. Always on the lookout for new inspirations and ideas. Opportunities, adventures and synchronicity direct my work and creative life.
