About Christine Masters Art
Formerly a printed textiles designer in London (BA Hons) and primary school teacher, I now live, draw and paint in East Sussex. Most of my work is inspired by the sweeping flow, texture, and pattern in the landscape and buildings of Sussex. I enjoy representing memorable and breath-taking views in pen and ink drawings and like to personalise each image with my own style of decorative foliage to enhance the pattern of the natural collage I see before me. The simplicity of black and white only helps to focus more closely on these qualities. My botanical collection favours the same fine pen and ink line and attention to detail, but is often enhanced with coloured inks to illustrate the beauty of nature in full bloom.
